This guide explains what overseas buyers should check before ordering a PC200-7 from China.

The PC200-7 is widely recognized in used-equipment markets. Its size suits earthmoving, roadwork, drainage, quarry support and general construction. Parts and service knowledge are available in many regions, which can reduce downtime compared with purchasing an unfamiliar model. Actual configuration can vary by production year and destination market, so the serial number and machine plate should always be checked before a quotation is treated as final.

What determines a used PC200-7 price?

There is no honest single price for every PC200-7. A realistic quotation should account for the machine's year, verified working hours, engine and hydraulic performance, undercarriage wear, boom and arm condition, bucket specification, attachments and delivery destination. Repainting can improve appearance, but it cannot replace a cold-start test, hydraulic pressure check or structural inspection.

• Mechanical condition: engine blow-by, smoke, abnormal noise, leaks and operating temperature.

1. Inspect the boom, arm and bucket

Start at the front attachment. Look for non-factory welds, repaired cracks, distorted plates and excessive movement at the bucket, arm and boom pins. Bucket teeth and cutting edges are replaceable wear parts, while cracks around the boom foot or major pin bosses can indicate heavier structural work.

2. Check the undercarriage before negotiating

The undercarriage is one of the largest wear-cost areas on a crawler excavator. Ask for close photographs of both track chains, shoes, rollers, idlers and sprockets. Uneven wear may point to alignment problems or a history of working on one-sided slopes. During a live test, the machine should travel and steer in both directions without unusual noise or a major speed difference.

3. Request a cold-start engine video

A warm engine can hide starting problems. Request a continuous video showing the machine before startup, the dashboard, exhaust during ignition and several minutes of operation. Check for persistent blue, white or black smoke, unstable idle, heavy blow-by, coolant contamination and fresh oil around the engine bay. The serial plate and hour meter should appear in the same inspection set.

4. Test the hydraulic system under load

Operate boom, arm, bucket, swing and travel functions individually and in combination. Slow response after the oil is warm, strong pump noise, leaking cylinders or excessive drift need investigation. A digging or lifting demonstration is more useful than a short idle video because it shows how the machine responds under load.

5. Confirm export preparation and total landed cost

Before paying a deposit, confirm what is included in the quotation: machine price, inspection, inland delivery, port charges, dismantling if required, container loading or roll-on/roll-off handling, ocean freight and documentation.
