Used JCB Excavator for Sale from China: 220 and 360 Export Guide

Release time: 2026-11-02

JCB excavators from Shanghai yards give buyers a familiar British brand with strong parts networks in Africa and parts of the Middle East. Our current export stock focuses on the mid-size JCB 220, the heavy JCB 360, and the compact JCB 70 mini. This guide compares the three classes and explains how to buy a used JCB excavator for sale from China.

JCB 220, 360 and 70: which size?

  • JCB 220 (about 22 tons): the everyday contractor machine for roads, foundations and quarry loading. Example: JCB 220 #904.
  • JCB 360 (about 36 tons): deeper digging and heavier trucks; useful when a 20-ton class is underpowered. Example: JCB 360 #905.
  • JCB 70 mini (about 7 tons): tight-site work and landscaping. Example: JCB 70 #906.

All current units are under used JCB excavators. For similar mid-size Japanese options see the ZX200-5 guide and CAT 320 Shanghai buyer guide.

Inspection points before you book

  1. Serial plate and hour meter matching the listing, filmed in one shot.
  2. Cold start, idle smoke and any monitor fault codes.
  3. Hydraulic speed on boom, stick, bucket and swing at working RPM.
  4. Boom drift test with a loaded bucket.
  5. Pins, bushings and swing bearing play.
  6. Undercarriage: sprocket, roller and shoe wear — especially on high-hour 220 and 360 units.
  7. Cab and electrics: A/C, lights, joysticks and warning lamps.

JCB parts and dealer support are comparatively strong across East and West Africa, which shortens downtime after the machine lands. When you compare a used JCB 220 against a CAT 320 or Komatsu PC200, weigh cab comfort, fuel maps and the cost of wear parts in your local market — not only the Shanghai FOB sticker. For the 360 class, check undercarriage remaining life carefully; replacing a full set after arrival can erase the price advantage. Mini JCB 70 buyers should confirm rubber vs steel track options against the ground they will work on.

Export shipping from Shanghai

A JCB 220 typically ships on a flat rack or by RoRo; the 360 needs careful counterweight planning; the 70 often fits an open-top. Request FOB Shanghai and CIF to your preferred port, and check import age rules early. Our Africa import guide and Nigeria import guide outline common paperwork steps.
