R210 vs R220 vs R225 / HX220: which size fits?

• Hyundai R210 / 210LC / HX200 (about 20–21 tons): the lighter mid-size class for road, foundation and general civil work. Examples: 210LC #658, HX200 #693 and R215-7 #449.
• Hyundai R220 / 220LC-9S / HX220 (about 21–23 tons): the volume export size for truck loading and quarry support. Examples: 220 (2022, 580 h), 220LC-9S (2022, 2290 h), R220-9S (2021, 911 h), HX220HD #445 and HX220S #465.

What to check on a live video

1. Serial plate, hour meter and monitor in one uncut clip, including any fault codes.
2. Cold start and smoke colour, then blow-by at the oil filler once warm.
3. Combined movements: boom up, stick in and swing together at full throttle with no hesitation.
4. Boom drift: hold a loaded bucket in the air for one minute and watch for creeping.
5. Pins, bushings and swing bearing play at the bucket, stick and upper structure.
6. Undercarriage: sprockets, rollers, idlers and shoe height — critical on 20–24 ton machines.
7. Hammer piping and stick nose wear if you plan breaker work.

Shipping from Shanghai

An R210 or R220 usually ships on a flat rack or by RoRo; R225 often needs a flat rack with the bucket or counterweight removed. Ask for FOB Shanghai and CIF to ports such as Mombasa, Dar es Salaam, Lagos, Callao or Santos, and confirm age and inspection rules with your broker.
